Be More Human

Stuart Bell 2 min read

The baseline for content is rising.

The baseline for real human connection isn't.

AI has handed everyone a "good enough" content machine. So your competitors, the ones who never had time to write anything, now have zero excuses.

Here's what's about to happen as tools get better

  • They'll flood every channel with polished, generic content
  • Volume will replace intention
  • They'll jump from tool to tool, looking for a tactical fix to a strategic problem
  • The noise level goes through the roof

But here's what they can't do: They can't be you.

They can't show up speaking directly to someone's situation backed up by your experience. They're not going to put the effort into making prospects feel understood before the first meeting. They won't draw a line in the sand and say, "This is how we solve your problem together."

People might click on AI content but they connect with humans.

The problem is most of us are brilliant at what we do. But without a simple way to start conversations with ideal clients, we lose work to louder competitors.

Not better. Louder.

Here's what to do instead

  1. Pick the one audience you serve best
  2. Identify the problems they're desperate to solve from where they are today
  3. Create content that speaks directly to that situation, in their language
  4. Illustrate it with your examples and approach

Make it impossible to confuse you with everyone else.

For me, this is conversation-starting books, for real world business owners, who know their stuff but don't want to be "authors." We know what a book does for their business, how to make it work, and what to avoid.

But without this clear position, AI would fill my feed with traditional, generic "bestseller BS" marketing to post.

The window to claim your message is shrinking as the channels get louder.

While everyone chases tools to create their message, the cheat code is focusing on real connections and using tools to beat the noise, not add to it.

What message do you want to own? What do you want to be known for?
